Why Christ Died for Us on the Cross

Christ died for us on the cross because he loved us more than anything on this earth. He wanted to take our sins away from us with this one act and take the keys from the devil from hell. He opened up heaven's gates for all who would accept him as lord and savior. Christ didn't have to die for us. He chose to do so. He had a chance in the garden of olives to change his mind, but he prayed not my willl but his father's will be done. which was to die on the cross for all man kind. Once his spirit left his body, our sins were forgiven when we ask Christ to forgive us and turn from our sins. I once believed in Christ as a child from my parents telling me all about GOD. Then i forgot about him due to unforseen circumstances. Then when i hit forty I began going to chruch again and saying the rosary and going to confession and recieving the body and blood of Jesus Christ on a regular basis. This once again was taken from me by unseen forces. Now I pray to Jesus on my own and trust in God daily for my own life. I try to follow his laws and obey him. I don't always make it, but i keep trying. It is enough to keep trying, after all we are all sinners in GOD's eyes. The saving grace is that Jesus died on the cross for us saving us all from Hell and giving us the grace to repent and turn from our sins with his grace and mercy and strength and go forward through the narrow gate, which few have found. I want to get through this narrow gate, and will stop at nothing to get there. I want to thank Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. I want to thank him for giving me boldness to talk about him to other people as I am now doing. I want to encourage people to love Jesus as he loves you back so many times more than you could ever love him. He is always there for you, when all your friends leave you behind. He is there for you in times of sorrow and trouble. He will never leave you an orphan. He promises that in the bible. So I am one person who is glad that Jesus died for me on the Cross. Thank you Jesus. I love you.
