Wireless Technologies Proposal

I strongly consider the company to start using iPad's and Bluetooth's. These two wireless devises can really benefit the company and increase productivity. There are many advantages of using and iPad and Bluetooth I will list a few.

Pros

* iPad's can last up to 10 hours even while playing games or surfing the net (Fusion Alliance News, 2011).

* iPad's are good for communicating

* they are cheaper than computers and run in-between 500-800 dollars with optional data plans for 3G or 4G connectivity

* Great for reading email's and will support Microsoft Exchange, IMAP, POP3, Gmail, and Yahoo (Fusion Alliance News, 2011).

* mobile (you can carry them anywhere)

* Multitasking

* Good inbuilt storage: 64 Gb, 32Gb, 16 Gb

Cons

* No USB ports

* The battery is not replaceable because it is screwed in, you have to buy a new iPad

* Can't connect as disk drive to computer without apps (Fusion Alliance News, 2011).

* No SD card reader (Fusion Alliance News, 2011).

Bluetooth's can help the company more efficient by:

Pros

* Bluetooth technology is cheap to implement for the companies resulting in lower costs to the consumer. The technology itself is license free, and so does not cost a penny in data charges. ("The Pros And Cons Of Bluetooth Technology", 2005).

* Bluetooth uses low powered 2.4 GHZ band for radio communication. ("The Pros And Cons Of Bluetooth Technology", 2005).

* Faster data and voice Sharing - you can share data and voice communications via Bluetooth with compatible devices connected to it. ("The Pros And Cons Of Bluetooth Technology", 2005).

Cons

* Range (the user must be in range with whatever there connected wit)

* Security (easy for hackers to steal info)

* Speed (it is not that fast when file sharing)

As you can see there will be risks for using these devises, but they will also help improve the company
