Accountability Case

Everyday something major can happen due to carelessness and lack of responsibility. It is important that everyone perform their job or mission to the best of their ability so that none of their fellow workers or no fellow soldiers have to pick up their slack and complete their portion of the mission. Within the army there are warrior tasks that must be completed and it is important that these tasks are completed according to the manual. Within this essay, I will be explaining the importance of accountability and why it is important for one to know and perform the Army Warrior Tasks to the best of their knowledge. Accountability requires both the understanding and the meeting of responsibilities. It embodies a commitment to be both a contributor and active participant in the process. The responsibility for outcomes is based on standards. These standards apply to the development of soldiers and to the evaluation of their performance, self-discipline, and their integrity. Each soldier is accountable for his or her own actions, no matter what the situation is. Right now, we are preparing to go over-seas where accountability plays a huge role in our daily routine. It will be important for us to notify our superiors of what we are doing and where we will be at all times in case there is a situation in which everyone must be notified. Accountability of personnel, is a tool that teaches all soldiers discipline. at time you might get carefree and think that it's ok not to sing out if you a going to the gmy, PX, or across the street, but it's not it is a standard that was placed their for a reason. Each solider a accountable for his or her own actions, especially here in South Korea, because at anytime we could be alerted to go to war, hence the need for a sign out sheet, with a place for your name, where you are going, and a phone number that you could be reached at.
