Argumentative Essay: Dependence on Computers: Good or Bad?

Computer is without a doubt a useful tool that many of us use everyday. It has a major role in almost every aspect of our life, and makes things much easier for us. They allow us to work from home, communicate with friends and relatives from far distances, make money, and a lot of amusing activities. But as we increasingly rely on computers to get through the day, an important question comes to our minds: is this dependence on computers a good thing or should we be more suspicious of their benefits?

Almost everyone believes that computers make our lives easier and give us new ways to learn about the things we are interested in. They may experience some side effects such as weight gain, strained eyes, and headache.

Another problem with computers, which is perhaps the most convincing argument, is the issue of safety. Aside from the issue of sharing personal information such as full names and addresses, there is also the bigger issue of stolen personal information. As our dependence on computers grows, so does our comfort level with them, and we are more likely to save personal information to our computer. But the fact is that there are always people who have a lot of ways to gain access to our personal files, and therefore any personal information stored on our computer.

The argument was that "Is too much dependence on computers a good thing or should we be more suspicious about their benefits". We prefer the second one. That means, too much dependence on computers is not a good thing, because it
