Dear Dr. Reed,

The community of Leesburgh is grateful that you have decided to join our small, but growing, network of physicians. We are honored that you have decided to supply your apple talents to such a worthy cause. Moreover, Your orthopedic skills are filling one the many needs of those in our community. My name is Dr. James Hotz, and I am one of the few doctors that provide care to patients in Leesburgh. It wasn't long ago that I received a warm welcome from this community. The residence here sure do make you feel right at home and I am certain you will be treated in the same manner.

As you may already know, the only hospital in this area is Phoebe-Putney Medical Hospital, which was established in 2003 to service uninsured families. It's a place that brings happiness and joy to the people that can't afford healthcare. Many years ago, I had a vision in mind; a vision to cut the costs of our services by 25% to treat patients who could otherwise not afford medical care. I knew that if I charged the normal fees, the community wouldn't be able to afford it and my practice would fail. Yes, this was a charitable move of sorts, but also the most crucial business decision I could make. You see, many doctors have attempted to establish their own practices in this area; however, their practices have actually failed due to lack of patients to treat. This community is filled with uninsured individuals who can't pay out of pocket for healthcare.

Lower prices led to more patients, more patients meant more services, and more services gave us a steadier flow of income (not to mention all the new people we were helping). With lower prices you might be inclined to assume that our overhead expenses would put us under. However, this was simply not the case either.

Spectacularly, we received help from many outside sources that were willing to support our cause. Coca-Cola kindly offered to build us Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital, and we received 500,000 worth of free drugs through special services!

It was my change in rates alone that allowed me to keep my practice. Without the alteration in my means of income, I would not be here to help people in the community today.

Dr. Reed, to succeed in Leesburgh, a physician, with your expertise and talent must join our small, but expanding network. My desire is for us to team up in our practices and build the strongest medical foundation this community has ever seen. I am certain that practices in the network are profitable and expanding. Our clinic is missing a talented orthopedic surgeon such as yourself, and we would be grateful if you would serve alongside us in our pursuit of building a happier, healthier community. Please consider joining my team and it will be an unforgivable experience.

I look forwards to hearing from you soon and would love to discuss this
