For My Love

Always
(for my love)
time flows like water
lapping at our feet
it is hard to see
(in the course of being)
but sometimes I think
that love reflects
upon the water
yet a moment's thought
correctly yields
there is no water
even so,
shall our love reflect
upon the water, still?
I think it always has,
my love,
and always will
t is just ages that have passed
and still I see you as you are
what you always were
no matter the role this life
when that essence comes in
all I want for it to be is near
for if in the sky
you are its poet
and if all that is you
what is in the sky
the word why then has no meaning
as long as it is
as solid as rock your spirit
man of men so deep
so significant
with meaning so vast
I just know it
the door of wonderment
I enter
you opened
spirited
the connection
scattered and spread
it doesn't matter
when in fact
you know it
how to describe
what you create
how to describe
what you think of love
how to describe
the compostion
except for the experience
how to describe
what I can only describe
as what I love is out there
beyond this
realm of understanding
and of those poems that go there too
who shall express this?
