Statement of Work—Project Description and

Project Product

This project is going to create better learning opportunities for kids by giving them easier access to text books through eBooks and allow them to familiarize themselves with technology so that they can excel in the future ahead. We will accomplish this project by aligning with the different sectional teams and take it in steps.

Some of the first steps will be as follows:

  • Check school for wiring capabilities
  • Acquire all necessary licenses
  • Check school computers
  • Install necessary software

This would need to happen in order because if we start doing certain steps at random the project will not succeed. You need to have the school’s computers capable of using the software so that the text books can be viewed. You have to make sure that all of the licenses are in place so you don’t leave your self legally exposed. These steps need to be done in order so that the project does not fail.  All necessary equipment needs to be onsite and setup for use. If one step is not complete the next step cannot start.

We will need to work with all of the school staff that are part of the project and align our goals and needs so that everybody is on one page. This project has to flow smoothly and not have any potholes.

Project Deliverables

The tangible outputs of this project are going to be nice new devices that are up-to-date and have the best capabilities that schools need for their kids to succeed. This isn’t going to be the only output of this project, things like better internet connections for the school is also going to be a great addition to the school system. New networking is going to be a great thing for the school.   The biggest things that need to happen is the networking has to be perfect and the servers have to be up and ready for use once the system goes live. The licensing also needs to be legit so that the school can use all of the software without constraint. These would be the most important things that must happen so that the project can finish successfully. Other things can slightly fail but this needs to be the things that work. If all of these things are meet the following deliverables will happen:

  • School will have amazing computers
  • School’s network will be high-tech
  • Students will have top of the line technology
