Key Activities

There are many activities that the Protein Bus will focus on in order to meet the demands of the customers in both the food market and the food truck market. The Protein Bus will operate six days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and will later in the afternoon, the food truck will just service protein shakes to customers. The food the we will be serving consist of wraps, protein bars and shakes. Throughout our daily operation, the location of the food truck will vary, however, it will be located at either the north, east, west or south ends of the University campus.

As the Protein Bus is a new food truck business, there will be many opportunities to grow and improve. By conducting research, our business will be able to grow and attract more buyers in the market. From conducting research in our market, which happens to be university students, we are able to note what kinds of food and drinks they prefer. Starting off, we will offer products based on the initial wants of the customers. From that, we will be able to expand our menu from direct customer feedback. As we are a small business, we are not going to be able to have large research and development team that will help us expand our business. Therefore, we will create a website and mobile application that will allow customers to tell us what they want and what improvements there are to improve and better the Protein Bus.

Marketing will be another large activity that will spread the word about the Protein Bus. Marketing is very important for us as it is responsible for the growth of the Protein Bus by getting the word out about our food trucks in addition to our business survival. Communication is an aspect of the business that is getting easier every day with the constant use of technology. The Protein Bus will rely on social media outlets such as, Facebook and Instagram, in order to attract customers. In addition, there will be many flyer and advertisements around the campus promoting the Protein Bus. We social media outlets, we will advertise daily deals, promotion, menu specials and the location of the food truck. This information will benefit the daily business of the food truck.

Most of the employees will be university students that have an interesting in the food and service industry. Since they are in this industry, they typically have an interest in nutrition and information regarding food. These employees will not only be able to sell the customers food and drinks, but also provide nutritional information regarding what they are about to consume. This will promote healthy eating and encourage people to continue to purchase food from our food truck as they know exactly what ingredients they are eating.
