What are the three greatest ethical issues that managers face? Defend your response

The three greatest ethical issues that managers face are discrimination, discipline, and performance evaluations. Discrimination can be race, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation has made many managers sensitive to these problems. According to (e.how) it cost the company and managers a lot of time and money when this accusations or lawsuits are brought to light. Managers must be proactive to teach themselves about discrimination and make an honest attempt to avoid discriminating against others. If they make and base their hiring and promotion decisions solely on experience, ability and other relevant factors then it will often keep them out of the hot sit.

In the workplace discipline is another issue that managers have to deal with. For example, a manager who observes or is aware of fraudulent activities within the workplace is ethically required to report these activities to the proper authorities. This can be hard if the fraud is being perpetrated by the manager's employers. Becoming a whistleblower is not what most managers want to do, but it has to be done if managers are serious about maintaining and promoting an honest and fair workplace

Often managers don't enjoy or try to put off administering performance evaluations because they some fear how their subordinates may react, or get tied up in own personal task according to (Trevino & Nelson, 2007, 166). The hard parts are trying to explain to an employee that they need improvement, but often they are doing agree with the feedback. They have to create strengthens and weaknesses because if you only focus on the negative then the subordinates will feel unappreciated.
