Apology Letter

Dear: Ms Jennifer Chu
Please allow me to express my deepest regrets for rumours being spread through the entire bank stating that you have become my mistress, the rumours were elaborated upon to a point when you had fainted at the office and needed to take some time off to recover. But our colleagues believe otherwise that you had gone for an abortion.
My behaviour was extremely inappropriate, unacceptable and lacked the professionalism that you, my colleagues, and also the company deserved from a supervisor at The Hong Kong Bank. It was a disruption and distracted others from doing their job. So I have taken steps to ensure that similar incidents and misunderstandings will not occur in the future. It was embarrassing, for me as well especially since my wife wanted to kill you for thinking that the rumours were all true. Not knowing that everyone got the wrong message of us working closely together since you are my secretary.
Again, I am sorry for my actions and I hope that we can put this matter behind us. I look forward to working with you again. As adults and professionals, this is not the way I usually act. I value you as a secretary, and I hope we can discuss this issue like adults in the future. If you have any thoughts in this, please feel free to share. You may contact me at your convenience by email/phone.
Women have usually had fewer rights and a lower social status than men, throughout history. For example, women did not have the right to institute divorce proceedings and own property. The traditional role of the married woman was being a housewife, and most women's lives centered around their households. The role of the woman as a housewife has seemed to be slowly disappearing, as well as the role of the male of the family being the sole breadwinner. Women nowadays tend to leave their offspring more often in daycares and babysitters than before. In many cases it is very common for children to come home from school and spend many hours alone, until their parents come home from work.
Sincerely,
Peter Chen
