Developmental

The first years of life for a child are very crucial because of lifelong development. Child development has four areas; the first area deals with when they expect children to work on their own, and begin to figure out something about themselves, the next area is how the child use his or her large muscles in arms and legs. Cognitive development deals with things around and questions he or she begins to ask, language begins to listen, and speak with understanding. The child development has an effect on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, which helps the child. Knowing that Piaget's, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, and Erikson have given the tools on understanding development. Early childhood is the beginning of growth in development. Children at this stage begin to understand how to interact with people, learning developmental skill. A child between the age of birth to three begin to grow in height and gain weight. The child begins to have a physical change at the age of three. Children will continue to grow between three and five developing fine-motor skills.

Early childhood physical change begins to have a constant change in children cognitive and language development. Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory said that middle childhood is a time when sexual and aggressive begin to take place. During this stage physical development the growth is slow until puberty, the development starts to quicken at a steady pace. In this individual puberty can start as early as eight or even nine. The cognitive development skills are working gained and preparing for the next phase of cognitive development. Children begin to learn skills because they are mature earlier. Girls around the age of nine experiences a preadolescent growth during boys experience come around 11 or 12. Until children reach puberty their bodies shaped and proportions. The girls begin to develop breasts and curves and the boys develop deeper voice and broad shoulders, showing a different in male and female. During middle childhood girls are smaller and boys have larger mass of muscle. When girls enter puberty sometimes, they are larger than boys of the same age, which may enter puberty later. The sexually maturing of boys increase height and weight that causes them to pass the girls height and weight.

Our brain grows as children become educated and with understanding. Our knowledge changes the physical structure of the brain. By age three the child's brain has grown to an adult size. There are developmental milestones that children can face that will have an effect on the brain causing problems with development. The development of the brain and nervous system continue during middle childhood. As the central nervous system matures the behavioral and cognitive abilities are possible. By age eight or nine organs are almost the adult size. The frontal lobes during middle childhood develops and has growth
