SWOT Analysis

The sample business plan chosen here is that of a Real Estate Management Business Plan. It is called MSN Real Estate; it is only an Oregon-based real estate company that offers benchmarked rental units for the community (Real Estate Management Business Plan, 2009). According to the Real Estate Management Business Plan(2009) the MSN units will balance safety, cutteing edge features, and a positive atmosphere for all tenants. Now lets expand more into the business plan and determine its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

Every business plan must have strengths to get the plan up and running. Some of the great strengths that this plan has is the people involved with the plan, as well as the market and strategy plan. Getting into the market aspect of this business plan, the largest area that it will serve with be towards college students, it can be hard for college kids to find a place for rent so this plan will help better the available properties. Second it will focus on local professionals and third will be facult and staff of the local University. All of which are strong plans, all of these people will benefit from the help of finding rental properties.

The strategy of this plan will be to focus on buying and developing existing properties, most properties in the area are run down, so once each property is purchased it will wired with Internet access, state of the art amenities, and safety measures to provide a safe living environment (Real Estate Management Business Plan, 2009). Taking these measures will be good to utilize capital and establish a reputation within the community.

The management coming into this plan is also very strong, Shawm Menashe has a bachelors degree in Economics and a MBA from the University of Oregon.
