This is a quick guide to meeting someone great and looking (and being!) your best. They mention group setting, doing something fun, doing interesting things, meeting people with similar interests, and ask simple questions that have an acronym of FORM (family, occupation, recreation, membership - or what was the last fun event they went to).

This article provides some statistics as far as online dating goes. It shows that only 5% of Americans married or in committed relationships said they met their partner online. Fifteen percent use dating websites and apps. However, there is a big jump in ages. Those between 18 and 24 age range jumped from 10 to 24 percent in the past 10 years. Twenty-nine percent see online dating as desperate, compared to 23% in 2005, and 59% see it as a good option to meet people vs. 44% in the past 10 years. And also, there is third of online daters, who chat, text, call, but never go on actual dates.

This article summarizes some research done by eHarmony Australia’s 2015 Relationship Study. Doing a background check is a must, texting is a great way of communication, and is used by 54% of respondents to organize dates, more that 50% texting their date thanking them for a good time and 53% of women decline a date. Technology makes people more confident, and "ghosting" (disappearing without response) is a big problem.

People who reported meeting their spouse online tended to be age 30-49 and of higher income brackets than those who met their spouses offline, the survey found. 5.96 percent of online married couples had broken up, compared to 7.67 percent of offline married couples. Research showed about 35 percent of relationships now start online. Younger men see online dating as playground, and young women are tired of that.
