Poverty and Environment Reuction in Pakistan

Introduction:

This paper analysis the link between poverty and environment that how poverty effects the environment, poverty is the main problem in developing countries

So we are trying to discuss that what are the reasons of poverty and how we reduce it from the society and we also discuss the impact of poverty on environment.

Environment shows relation between people, community's poverty spoils the environment of any society because people use fair and unfair means to achieve their aims they can't even thing what is wrong and what is right. (World Bank 1999)

In this paper we analysis how environment activities play role to reduce poverty. If we want a macroeconomics growth in developing countries then we should try to reduce the poverty. Government has a responsibility to provide basic necessities of life to that to reduce poverty from the society by taking this environment will also be better to survive and a healthy person need a healthy environment to perform their duties.

In this paper we first discuss the poverty and environment then we discuss the method to reduce the poverty and then we discuss the link between environment and poverty and the last section contain on the conclusion.

Poverty:

According to economists the people who cannot full fill their basic needs and fall below the poverty line consider as a poor. House hold income or consumption is the best proxy of welfare. Poverty includes utility and concepts based on capabilities. If also includes inequality between a country and region and also in a house hold. Poor didn't get proper health, justice, security and education. (Sen 1981; Putnam 1993).It is not necessary for everyone to have these measures but commonly everyone is needed something which is missing in others. (Ravalli on 1996).

The term poverty will easily understand by using different dimension, e.g.; a poor child cannot get proper food and nutrition which is a basic need. Different dimension of poverty like labor, house hold assets (matters related to house), house hold relations (sharing with other people) (Moser 1998).

Authors introduced another term "Geographic Capital" which shows that many geographic areas are also poor.

Factors of poverty in Pakistan:-

The Pakistan condition is not well it's a poor country. The Pakistan has low income per capita. They cannot fulfill the basic needs of people. The government of Pakistan is not so well. They cannot try to improve the condition of Pakistan. Due to government Pakistan faces a lot of problems. The poverty is major problem which lead the social disorder and conflicts in the country. There are the following factors of poverty in Pakistan:

* Government policies:-

The Pakistan government is not trying to take action to reduce the poverty. They do not take poverty problem seriously. The governments take the suggestion from officials who do no know about the poverty. When they bring the policy into action it's not give any effective result. If the first policy failed they cannot consider the policy failed
