        First of all, give thanks for God’s love and grace for us. Because of His bless, He helps and gives me chance to finish this mid-term printed report project timely. And i would like to thank Sir A.B.M. Witono, M.S.B.A., Ph.D. as my lecture who always teaches us and gives us much knowledge about intoduction to business and management.

        This printed report project is the one of Introduction to Business and Management subject that composed of practical interview to the company which offers in services and i chose Timezone as the company that offers service. I realized this project is not perfect but i have tried to give the best and hope this printed report project can be useful. Critics and suggestions are needed to make this printed report project become better.

        Timezone was established in 1978, the first Timezone Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) opened in Perth, Western Australia. Unlike the traditional pinball parlors and pool halls of the era, Timezone was the first family oriented video amusement facility. This family emphasis is still a key focus of the brand today. The Timezone experience is ever changing; growing to stay abreast of entertainment trends. Presented with an up-market fit-out, a bright, colorful and cozy ambience is created for family entertainment. Customers get to win fabulous prizes from the extensive range of unique and branded quality products from its prizes counters. Equipped with the latest and classic games, Timezone offers its customers a trully fun-filled experience. Following its success in Australia, the Timezone group of FECs went international in 1995. Today, Timezone has established a strong foothold in more than 200 locations, operating in Australia, New Zealand, the Philipphines, Singapore, Vietnam, India and Indonesia.

        In Indonesia’s foothold, PT. Matahari Graha Fantasi which is well-known as Timezone where its main office is located at Kelapa Gading-Jakarta Utara. It is a joint venture company between LAI (Leisure and Allied Industries) Perth Australia when in 2008 celebrated its 50th anniversary which exists in “Family Entertainment Center” industries with PT. Matahari Putra Prima Tbk that’s a company is under controlled by Lippo Group which has experienced in Indonesia’s retail business more than 45 years. The first Timezone centre in Indonesia was in Legian Plaza - Kuta Bali. Its first operated was on January 27th 1995. Today, Timezone centres have already spreaded in all over Indonesia with the total number of operating centres are more than 104 centres, the prime retail space is more than 65,000m2, it has 1,000 permanent employees and has been operating more than 9,000 gaming machines.

        In the last decade, Family Entertainment Center (FEC) industry in Indonesia is growing up with the growing of lifestyle changing in the cities where it incurred because of the increasing number of parents who are having less time for their children. Timezone becomes popular because it gives feel of convenience, secure, creative family fun and also it gives educational experience for the children and the staffs who will always ready to serve you and with the 65,000m2 wide outlet area that it can take entertainment industries to the better future. Timezone’s target profile are family, teenagers, and adult who most of them are looking for “Quality of Life” and find out the “Unique Entertainment Experience”. The first target is mothers who has age around 20-45 years old, with the “ABC” class economy social status and has children around 3-10 years old. The second target is teenagers who has age around 11-17 years old, and adults who has age aroud 18-20 years old or above with the “ABC+” class economy social status.
