The easiest way for you to keep your notes organized and write them in your own words is to write them on note cards. There are five easy steps to make a note card. For the materials you will need a writing utensil, a note card, the internet, and don't forget your brain. You can use the note card in the easiest way that is possible for you. Using the note cards will help study for test, if you are doing research, and even taking notes in class.

First when you get your note card make sure the card is on the line side. This will help keep your information organized. Second after you are done having the note card on the line side with your pencil write your source number on the top right corner. The source number will also help you by showing where you got all of your information from.

Third you put the title above the red line on the note card. The title will be the main item your research is about. Fourth you read through the information on the internet or other source. Fifth you write down the facts that you read about. There should be one fact per note card and these should not be complete sentences.

When you finished making your note card you can put all the facts you got into bigger parts. That will help keep you organized and do better on essay or anything you have to write about. If you do this right you have everything ready for writing a great essay.
