Islam is total submission to God. All Muslims must follow the sacred writing of Allah in which is known as the Quran. The Quran is an inspiring word form Allah; it delivers directions to Muslims, giving them lots of teachings and stories that have been told by the prophets. The Quran is inspired word of Allah. Built in with the Islamic law they must follow three beliefs. First belief is Tawhid - the oneness of Allah, Malaika the belief in Angels and Rasula the belief in prophet-hood. These beliefs are in the Quran and give Muslims practical direction for living a life based on Allah. Therefore this essay will be specifying the three beliefs and how that provides Muslims with a clear and brief message on how to live their lives.
Tawhid is the belief in one god, Allah. To declare your faith in him .One Islamic principal is that God is the light. "God is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of his light is as if there were a niche, and within it a lamp; the lamp enclosed in glass; the glass a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, and olive neither of the east nor the west whose oil is well-nigh luminous though fire scare touched it. Light upon light! God doth guide whom he will to his light." This Quran quotation means, that God is the creator of everything and the light and their only God. Allah is their only God who has created this world for them and God will always guide whoever believes in him to his light, up in heaven. Followers of Islam practice this in daily life by following the five pillars. The pillars are: Shahada - the creed, Salat - daily prayers, swam - fasting during Ramadan, zakat - almsgiving and Hajj - pilgrimage to mecca. These pillars mean that they state their faith, pray, worship, achieve almsgiving, fast and perform pilgrimage.
Rasula, meaning prophet is another Islamic principal is, otherwise known as Prophecy. As shown in the Quran Allah states "Allah chooses for Himself whoever He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn to Him". This means that Allah helps only those Muslims who ask for it and he help only those Muslims he chooses. The directions he has given are that a Muslim can only pray that Allah chooses them because he gave extra help. This makes prophecy an Islamic principle.
The final principal of an Islamic life is belief in Malaika, Angels. A phrase in the Quran quoted "Then Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers angels whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers." This means that the Islamic people that choose not to believe in Allah and the angels will be punished and the other Islamic people who do believe in the angels and Allah will be protected and will not be punished.
