Functionalist social has structures (institutions or stable units of society) exist because they fulfill some specific functions. (Vissing, 2011) Functionalists believe that society is mended together by social cohesion, in which members of the society agree, and are willing to work together to achieve the best for society as a whole.

Conflict theory assumes that the institutions and interactions within society foster inequality and competition, and when they are challenged, then beneficial social change can result. (Vissing, 2011)Conflict theorists note that unequal groups that have conflicting values and goals, causing them to rival against each another. The constant competition between groups forms the basis for the ever-changing nature of society.

Symbolic Interaction perspectives emphasis is on the social construction of reality, particularly as created through the negotiation of socially relevant symbols.( Vissing, 2011) Symbolic interactionists relates to how people act, and then discovers what meanings people assign to their own actions and symbols, as well as to those of others.

Sometime we go through life without a purpose of a vision. We tend to ignore things and disregard others views and thoughts. Marriage is one of those topics that we run to or run away from. Regardless if you marriage or single you have different view points on each of these topics. Marriage is a life changing event that we should always try to prepare while we are single.

Marriage is truly about giving up your own lifestyle to share a lifestyle together. It is not always easy to do, but you are willing to sacrifice with the other because you love them so much. We must have good communicating skills in order to truly understand the other person needs and wants. It is so easy to give up, on one another if we do not do the work to build a solid foundation. Marriage is having a best friend that stand by you through the good, bad and ugly times you have in your life. I think people get married for the wrong reason end up divorce shortly after the wedding. When you are married have limitations and boundaries and if you do not to be on that page then you should stay single.

Being single is a blast sometime, but you came become very lonely. Trying to trust someone over and over again can be exhausting, but you do not have to think anyone feeling, but your own. When you are single you have the right to me selfish and spoiled. You can make all the major decision without asking for any input on the subject at hand. Your time is spent however you would like to be spent. Spend money on something's that are more important to you and not family needs. Going out and hanging out with friends is your quality time.
